handbrake light

(1/3) > >>

python:
hi all, just had a drive today and my handbrake light keeps coming on, it is a 200tdi 93 model. i see the light is a two in one with an attention sign or something there as well as the park signal. im thinking oil levels or just a sticky switch. help?  :(

karlo:
check the brake fluid level.

python:
now that you say that i have had to put fluid in recently. will look again, cheers. was thinking maybe gearbox levels. will let you know. thanks mate  :)

Disco-Ron:
If it's the handbrake light, it has sod all to do with fluid..... there's a switch next to the handbrake lever, my cable was sticky til i removed it yesterday and oiled it...

However, if it's the 'low fluid light' well, it speaks for itself......

Does the light go out if you push the handbrake lever right down....???

eugene:
mine was like that it was a stick cable nol allowing it to go down all the way sorteded it with loads of wd40 then some spray greese fine now
