Local garage did a little job and now the reverse lights are not working, whereabouts is the switch mounted on the box as i'm hoping it's just the switchwiring rather than having to go back after the holidays, cheers guys Andy.

Should be on the passenger side of the main gearbox I think from memory.

the switch is up near the gearstick.
You can either take the centre console out and look at the back of the gear selector or look from underneath.

From underneath you need to look towards the back of the gearbox. Right at the top there will be a switch poking out of the back, on the left of the gear selctor housing as you look from beneath.
This is a picture from above, when mine was missing:

In the centre of the picture there is a t shaped piece and you can see where it should exit at the rear.

Hope that helps!

Its on top of the gearbox facing the rear (200tdi LT77). Can be accessed from below..., i.e. pull off and short the cables, lights on, faulty switch, which will have to be accessed from the top after removing centre consul

Could the garage have disturbed it, it might just need adjusting (screwing in a bit to get it to work)
