(LOL) got this email today from a upset ebayer
« on: December 22, 2007, 11:48:09 »
I have a non paying person so i asked him what was going on bla bla bla like you do as its been 12 days since he won..
so i told him that i would give it till today to see if this so called cheque would arrive and i got this reply

ebayer
you really are one really <edit> up <edit>, you can not even get your facks right, i never stated that i sent the cheque on the 19th it was the 17th. anyway i have listed you as a favorite seller so everytime you list something for sale i will [!Expletive Deleted!] it up for you, and as for your bank details you gave me, its surprising how many direct debits you can set up and what info i can and have just got on you from your bank!!!!
why you had to be like that i do not know, especially when the cheque was on route, all you had to do was be a little understanding and all would have been ok, instead you had to be an <edit> and make an enemy!

Dont it just make you laugh!!! spellings fantastic!!!

    Hello mate long time no hear
Oh yes i cacking it
got another one just now i informed him that i would be contacting ebay and my brother who is a policeman (Dont have a brother but he dont know that)  to seek advice in the matter     regarding his threats

ebayer
go for it! and as for being brave, remeber your the one shouting the odds, anyway as it happens i am going to hampshire after the new year so if you want to see how brave you, name a time and place, then we will see how cocky you are, and as for your threats about your brother, bring him too! as we all have family in the police!
i have obviously hit a nerve as you seem rather [!Expletive Deleted!] off. as i have mentioned you have brought this all on yourslf because you are too hard up to wait a little longer, as for ebay i got confermation today that my item strike has been removed as i sent the cheque and you decided to end the sale by the uncontrolable terms.

Bless him      Dont you just love ebay

I'd agree with that - let ebay sort it out. Might be worth letting your bank know just in case he does follow up his (probably empty) threats?

i got some advice some time ago about selling/buying on ebay, i think there is a website that tells this too

basically... (selling)
only to uk
recorded delivery (or if courier to state cost prior to sale)
ONLY paypal! (cheques "disappear")
only dispatch upon money cleared

buying
feedback history check
remember the item in question wont be the only one for sale on there and to do some digging, sometimes its better to pay more from someone more reliable (see feedback) than cheaper from, say hong kong

if you want to wind him up send him a picture of his house from google earth ... tends to make a point. Was that the first email you had sent to gee him up? if so he seems to be over-reacting just a lot.

whats his feedback like ? Sad when people let you down and then shout the odds.

last month i won something really cheap on eblag and sent payment, i then got a mutually withdrawn notification from ebay...which i knew nothing about so replied that i hadnt agreed to anything. i then got an abusive email from him saying that he would have to pay fees....as his niece had broken the item. He didnt bother telling me in advance or warning me and then suddenly its my fault?? go figure

My favourite thread for an Ebay sale that went wrong is here

http://bbs.scoobynet.com/non-scooby-related-4/650319-ebay-scumbag.html

With a bit of digging they unearthed all the Ebay account holders details, all the friends and relatives on Facebook, pictures of her posing in a Bikini :)

Well you get the drift.

Its a very long thread with a lot of duplication but in a nutshell the seller took payment from one person and said "Tough, I'm in another country. Nothing you can do"

Then the Sleuths dug out her real identity.
Watch out theres a tigger about!

Beware PayPal!  I would always prefer cash/bank transfer/cheque (allow SIX working days to clear) over PayPal any day.  If someone pays by PayPal, you can send the goods and then they can just apply to PayPal for their money back, and there is nothing you can do about it.

I should know, it happened to me.  I sold something (thankfully for under £20), buyer paid by PayPal.  I sent the item recorded delivery.  Buyer received it, let me positive feedback saying very happy.  I left positive feedback saying great eBayer, fast payment.  That was the end.........

.....until about two months later when the buyer told PayPal she had had not received the goods.  I showed PayPal the details of the recorded delivery plus the positive feedback she had left for me.  Did it make any difference?  No, PayPal gave the buyer her money back :x

I only use PayPal if I really have to.  Try Googling PayPal problems.......
