i have defender arches lol they are the only ones that fit as ive cut so much off

Well I did this myself on mine and I am not far from you if you want help/advice. Some of the Brum guys saw my Disco when we went out laning with Chris the other day.

Personally I followed the guide that somebody put up on rangie.com. You are doing basically the same thing.

I cut mine with an angle grinder (I hate using these things but its the only thing that works well). Left about a cm or so from the body line I then folded this inwards using mole grips and a hammer :-) What I tired to do was follow the body line so it looked OK.

On the rear door I just forced the inner skin in and then folded the outer skin over it.

I've not bothered with wheel arch flares as my tires are tall and thin (They are more or less the equivalent of the old 750R16).
