as an add on - we have 11 Scanias in our yard ALL limited to 56mph BUT not 1 of them does the same speed...yet all are serviced regularly, have their tacho's set every 2 years etc..but still never sit at the same speed  :?

when i use to drive them they were fun i remember haveing no trailer sitting at some lights boy racer sitting at side reving like mad so thought i show him what the power was really like lights went green and his face just droped as he couldent keep up o i liked that old ERF with the old twin split gearbox :lol:

when they check the calibration of the tacho it's to check that the speed reading is more than the true speed but! it must be within a percentage.

if you got satnav go by the speed on that when it's working with a good signal it will give you the true speed. most of our scania's are read 56mph and only do 54mph.
i was done for speeding once  :lol:  i was doing 56mph but when the fine came thought it said 51mph.  :lol:
