If santa is still stuck for more presents for you and you haven't already got some then a couple of heftey ratchet straps are a great (probably the best) way for turning a hilift jack into a winch. They are lighter and easier to use than chains or rope, plus you get vertually the full movement of winching out of the hilift as the ratchet takes up all the slack first.

You may be wondering when you will ever be that masakistic as to winch with a hilift and so was I untill this last month when I've ended up winching with my hilift 4 times #-o Only to recover my self once though and that because every one esle was too busy getting stuck to pull me out I hasten to add.



The rest of the time you use the ratchet straps for all the other uses they are good for.
