Couldnt sleep so thought i would watch it seeing as how i havent seen it yet.

They have certainly done justice to the cartoons that i grew up with, it was awesome to watch!

Just don't watch the new cartoons, you'll only get disappointed.

Not worth seeing then, unless there some sort of babefest and lots of car chases to make up for the fact that it is unrealistic

Apart from Barracade (cop car) and starscreamer (jet thingy) were never defeated.
Yellow Barracade didn't even turn up for the final fight.

That and they have left a huge potential for more, with Optimus Primes' final statement.

Hope the girl is in it again.

I watched Transformers the other night.
My kids loved it
I thought it was *alright* but nothing special.
Some cool graphics, big ass cars and top totty eye candy for the boys but that was it for me.
On the plus side, it ticked every Hollywood blockbuster cliche box, which is probibly why i didn't enjoy it

There are two reasons why megatron can't / won't do that ...

a) Mass Displacement,  Michael Baen declared he didn't want to do the mass displacement tricks where something would vastly alter in size by transforming, hence one of the reasons why Optimus Prime is not a traditional cab truck

b) American ruling has stopped Hasbro making toys which look like guns because it's encouraging kids to murder each other (yes, really)  Hence why Megatron changed into a tank in the first place  (in the toys)

The rumours are that Unicron will turn up in the sequel, as will soundwave..  Although, he'll be a Zune player,  Blaster I guess would be an iPod

Well, I watched it. Very amusing, nice car chases. As for plot ... well er ....

I liked the way they got about 5 trillion ebay adverts in there ... to the extent of getting Optimus to push it?!

Lot's of product placement, whizzes, bangs, explosions and "oh we are the Americans so we can do anything" attitudes ;)

Deffo a leave your brain at home and watch the pretty pictures film :)

P.S. Mass displacement does occur in the film - the ghetto-blaster turns in to a mobile phone !?!
