The staff at the A&E dept in the town I used to patrol in had a stock of blunt needles, especially for use on drunk and obnoxious gits. Funnily enough, they always seemed to run out of anesthetic as well when they had a patient playing up. :twisted:

We usually end up with an average of 4 visits per day, be it with an 'in custody', or to interview someone involved in an assault/RTC.

We tend to look after them, & provide tea/biscuits, as we might need to use our 'direct line' at some point, & appreciate their rapid response
