I DONT BELIVE IT!!!

scotana:
i am in the middle of throwing some paint at my s3 ,i was lucky to get my hands on an old bonnet , so i fitted it, while i stripped the paint off my original, i had got half way through stripping it .
it had been sat in the garden for at least 2-3 weeks and no one had bothered it,
i also bought a new (to me ) back door off eblag which also sat with my bonnet awaiting restoration

the other day we had a knock at the door and there was a bloke asking if we had any scrap, while his buddy sat in the white crewcab sherpa tipper with a blue back, i said no and if i did i would weigh it in myself, he seemed to acept this answer and left.

today i notice both the bonnet and the door are missing they had moved the mountain bike frame and the bunkbed ladder to get to them so now i have to buy a new one of each
its not worth ringing the police they wont do anything about it!!as with a lot of small thefts around the area

the ippos are rife on our estate too... some scruffy sods in a manky old tranny tipper, thewres hell on at the mo because so many people have had stuff go missing, its the high price of scrap at the mo tho...

me and my mate have collected quite a few bits here and there... nad it feeds the disco for a week on weigh-day!

really have to keep things bolted down, however..

GET THE REG NUMBER, and report them to the council.. they need a license to collect door-to-door, and if you mention thefts, and how their lack of action would make an intersting read in the local rag.. you may find they stop visiting......

til then, be vigilant!

Red Defender:
I've got a back door hanging around ? coming anywhere near Hampshire ?

muddyjames:
I am going to Basingstoke on xmas eve then heading up to Nottingham Sleaford way on boxing day until new years day if that is any help and as long as it fits into a rover 620!

But I think as soon as those guys had knocked on my door and gone I think I would have had my bonnet etc into the back garden away from prying eyes.

Red Defender:
forgot to mention it doesn't have a wheel carrier or heated rear window !
