which battery is best
« on: November 29, 2007, 19:43:33 »
i am trying to fit an anderson plug fitted lead to my landy for ease of use for jump starting other motors

i have a split charge system fitted running a red optima as a main cranking battery and a yellow as an accessory battery

which battery would the anderson lead be best fitted to and would it be a good idea to fit a circuit breaker at the same time (the red key time} thanks
fail to prepare.. prepare to fail!

If it dont fit...force it. If ya cant force it...get a bigger hammer. If it breaks...it probably needed replacing anyway.

I would say tour Red one, I have a very similar set up and I have had no problems so far. But my guess is only based on this, I am no electrician. 8)
Land Rover repair guide, Don't fix anything, because if you do something else always breaks, so fix nothing and nothing will break!!!

id go for the red top
after all the red top was designed for this application
now, i am only assuming here but i would think  your alternator is charging that battery ? and the yellow is running through a split charger ?
if so then id be using the red top  8)
