FL2 off road
« on: November 25, 2007, 18:41:18 »
HAve to say that I was impressed with the FL2 offroad today. Mrs R came over the farm and let me "borrow" her motor for a while. The terrain was all wet clay and the FL on road tyres, but it performed reasonably well.

Nice to see a couple of pics of one NOT in Tesco's car park

Hope you enjoy ............ :D :D :D

They are pretty good in standard form
We took mine (FL1) and a friends FL2 through some N Yorks lanes without any problems

Lane in 1st pic was quite steep in earlier parts.

Seen the FL2 running around Tixover quarry without any probs, must admit use my Freelander all the time greenlaning, alot of folk are surprised at what the old girl can manage to get through. You get used to the noise of the exhaust scraping along the floor

I agree it's good to see people using them for what they are made for.

Cheers

Hey Schuee,

remember last years green laneing trip in December along the Viking.... if I remember the freelanders were the only ones not to get stuck.

With the exception of mine getting at 45 degrees across the track although I only stopped as I liked the paint on the car and not in the hedge!
