Power steering issue
« on: January 18, 2005, 17:59:25 »
Hallo all !
Friend of mine has just tried fitting a seal kit to his power steering box on his range. Its not worked very well though.

Its a three bolt steering box and we cannot find a reasonably priced one anywhere !

Does anyone have one ? Can he buy it. 2nd hand preferred as he has phoned round and recon or new are seriously expensive !

Any ideas ?
Recommended wading depth 500 inches, no wait, im sure that was milimetres. And let me get this right. The breakover angle is 80 degrees....??

Ahh, f**k it, Il give it a go anyway

Got a 3-bolt spare, it isn't interchangeable with my 4-bolt so I was going to sell it to Paddocks when I take my exchange one back in.  I think it's ok but I haven't used it.  Make me a sensible offer.

Thanks for the replies.

My friend is 'LEE' his email is : sididuous@hotmail.com

Any chance I could be cheeky enough to ask people to email him.

He needs a 3 bolt box and I think he needs a couple of other bits too.

His vehicle is a Range Classic , 1985, with a 200TDI lump in it.

He's desperate for the steering box though !
