Stick it in for an mot, you may be supprised, after all the only real thing that would cost for mot would be welding and you say that there isn't any.
Providin brakes and lights are ok there shouldn't be any problems

Bit over optimistic there, There's a guy in the forsale section breaking his project as he couldn't get the £2.5k he was after, that was with a brand new bulkhead and a galv chassis. When I bought mine it had 10 months MOT and I paid £500 for it.
