Vehicle & Technical > Series Land Rovers
Thinking of selling
The Landy Guy:
I am thinking about spending a bit more money and time on my current land rover and then selling it on and buying something (land rover) with less work need and with MOT and on the road. Will be looking for a series still though!
Just don't have the time or money to finish the current project off and now i am driving i need something on the road!
So i just wanted to know what you might think i could get for:
1970 Series 2a SWB Truck cab
2.25lt Petrol engine (Recon'd Sump)
New Carb
New exhaust
New Fuel tank fitted
New fuel pipes
New Full wiring Loom
New Lights all round
Rear axle with Sailsbury Diff
New Oil filter
New Door tops
Straight body panels
Good condition Truck cab
Sound Chassis with no Rust
No rust on a mint bulkhead
4 Good road/mud tyres+spare
Spare bonnet
roll bar
Good brakes
Good steering
Runs well with no problems i can see
Bob Ajob:
With all those new bits, there can't be much up with can there, or have some of the vital parts not bee fitted?
Not sure on a price, the MOT has a big bearing on a Series motor.
Artwigwa:
Stick with what you got, Fix it, get it MOT'ed and use it! Least you know the landy inside and out... If you get another you'll be back to square one :?
The Landy Guy:
i aint got the money to carry on with it, i want a landy in good nick and on the road!! needing not much work due to being at college i dont have the time and i need transport!!!
shame i know but
Jim-Willy:
I wouldn't expect more than £500 for a motor with no MOT.
