Political Correctness just SUCKS

<< < (2/3) > >>

carbore:
Some councils in Cornwall put up signs for "Winter Festival" parking, (they got vandalized) and also the minority communities were hacked off because they diddnt want That sort of thing as it made matters worse.

fasthands:
Don't get me started on this one!!  I think Britain is the worst affected country in the world for P/C. It's not hard to see why. But if I say why I think this is I bet my post will be removed because it isn't P/C!!

schuee:
Oh and the school banning pupils from sending Crimbo cards to each other

http://www.bringbackchristmas.co.uk/?p=25

Apparently I read that they want them to donate the price of each card they would have sent, so as an African village could buy a goat, whether this is true I don't know.

What is this country coming to.

Range Rover Blues:
Err, if they don't celibrate Christmas, what are they doing taking the holiday?

There's lots of ground given to minority beliefs that I wouldn't mind taking advantage of.

Let's just say I'd spend my smoking break inside reading LRO

As for St Georges day, Sheffield council threatned to revoke taxi licences for drivers displaying the flag and fines anyone who's flag broke off and littered the street.

What was really ironic is the very people they thought they were protecting from this symbolism were shall we say "well reprisented" amongst the ranks of taxi drivers and typically the eones wanting to display their allegence to the flag of their country, ie England.

Had to laugh the other night, watching Bill Bailey he made some comment about Lionel Richey being ugly, then said something like "pot, Kettle"

"oh no, can I say that, :? "

"oh, err".

The best thing to do with political correctness is laugh at it, it's silly nonsensical rubbish invented by people who need to carve out a niche in which they become important.  The self-same bunch of loonies crowing on about global warming, they never let a silly thing like the facts get in the way.

My mum works as a teacher in the Rochdale area, and the Rochdale Borough education offices are situated in a roughly cube shaped building that is rather dark in colour. For many years it had been referred to as 'The Black Box' because of this. But they have been banned from using this name as it could cause offence.

Similar to how you can no longer use the term "black board", you must instead say "chalk board". The term "whiteboard" is however acceptable.

Yet when I was in school, I seem to recall it being drummed into us that you will never come across anyone with black skin, more likely to be brown.
