i'd have deen tempted to follow them, find where they live, then go at them with a bunch of my friends to see how they like it, cos ( and no offence to the boy's in blue on here, we all know your hands are tied ) they sure won't get anything done to them if you just call the police on them !!

Sounds like you handled it pretty well to me... you got away with your phone intact and without getting beaten up, which is a good result I'd say.
Sometimes you can confuse people by saying random things to them (as if you're a bit of a nutter). So they say, give us your phone, you say, it's a quarter past three, and you're right, Tesco's is a great supermarket, isn't it. This does sometimes work but it does also sometimes result in you getting mashed, depending on the mugger...

Had something similar happen a few years ago, coming out of the Cinema two lads (16-18) said give us you chains at which I told thenm to **** **f one lifted his clenched fist so I hit him clean on the jaw & knocked him out :lol: then his mate put his hands up & said I don't want any trouble mister :twisted: so he got it as well :cry: ,
Oh btw the week before I had just passed my 1st dan black belt :roll:
