The Lost World Of Mitchell & Kenyon
« on: January 14, 2005, 22:37:52 »
Did anyone see this incredible programme earlier?

It was all about a couple of Blackburn businessmen who made local films in the very early 1900's

They were presumed lost & destroyed, but found when the shop they once occupied was being renovated.
Miraculously the film stock survived, quite surprising as it was Nitrate based!, and tends to spontaneously combust.

It's in 3 parts, next week deals with Edwardina leisure activities & industry. It's being presented by Dan Cruickshank, best known for; 'The House Detectives' & 'What the Industrial Revolution Did For Us'
