Yep, that's what I have ended up doing too, seems strong enough.

By the way, I may know you as I used to live on Towngate.

quite possible Iwas born on what used to be Chapel st, behind the old co-op and raised on Teall st

I used some of the plastic captive nuts used for the floor sections in the plate. Just had to drill, then file out to square to fit them. Then used the same screws as the floors through the base of the cubby box. They are dirt cheap, even from a main stealer!

Digressing, one of out Nurses has just bought a house off Towngate
