where are your switches??
Range Rover Blues:
I threw away the ash tray on the RRC, cut a peice of hardboard (left over from a kitchne cabinet) and sprayed it with black crackle paint. Switches and trim panel for them came from Vehicle Wiring Products.
Thrasher:
Replaced my ashtray with another switch panel .....
...and fitted 3 front fog light switches :D
Ja1983:
i`ve got the radio control sapre as my cd player wont connect to whats left of them.. they also seem a bit badly placed as its just as easy to lean left than ben round under the wheel!
i`m planning on replacing them with light switches for the xmas dec`s i`m going to be fixing on soon (light bar, spots on winch mount, 4x fags, rear "\/anker lights" have to admit the defenders seem to have more options for extra sweitches... ie screw some ally plate on and glue em to it!

It's a bit of a squeeze because of the structures that provide rigidity for the light but they are standard toggle switches and I managed it.
IIRC I also used fairly large spade connectors which had to be positioned carefully to fit.
Look forward to seeing your instalation when you get it completed.

Aha... the secret of map pocket access of you want... master Yoda will reveal all!
Unscrew the whole map holder from the roof... disconnect the spade connectors to the light... take the whole damn thing indoors to the warm... and work it all out whilst watching Top Gear! 8)
datalas:
bear in mind that the 200 and 300 series are different as far as I know in the map pocket area :(
