where are your switches??

hi all. im sat here wondering where to put the switches on my disco 300 dash.


i will need to place 4 switches so looking for idea's really.i will do my incab winch controls a bit later   :wink:

IIRC you can replace the ashtray with a bank of OEM switches?

Hello Denviks, do you have the haynes modify your disc guide?

I didn't find much in there to inspire me BUT it does have a couple of pics of a roof pod that replaces the plastic map holder above sun visors.

I bet it wouldn't be to hard to fabricate using the existing screw holes.

I'm looking at making one up to house a cb, alot of extra dials and switches and a cubby box.

Well in my disco 1 I took out one of the switch blanking plates and put 2 clip in switches the 2 of them fit perfectly in one hole and look like they were made to fit.

In mine ive got 2 switches on the right hand side of the dash - were the electric mirror switches would be and 2 switches down by the electric windows on the armrest - i like them there as they are easy to get to
