Are all 4x4 drivers the same?

Saw a similar thing last year, told the driver of the car that was hit, and gave him a statement for his insureance. Took a while, but he got a result.

Agreed, my dads car got badly damaged in a car park crunch when the driver didn't stop.

JumboBeef:
Have you told the police/owner of the Disco?  You should, you were a witness.

A few years ago, I saw an old guy hit a parked car while he was trying to park his.  I left a note on the parked car's screen asking the owner to phone me and when he did, I gave him all the details.  To say he was grateful was an understandment.  I hope someone else would do the same for me.

Sorry, if you saw it happen and did nowt.................

Similar thing happened to the wifes car.
The car was parked outside her work and an arctic reversed around the corner and devastated the offside from the front of the door to the rear lights
OK...it was a wagon and he probably wouldn't have felt a little Peugeot 106 underneath him but if it wasn't for a witness leaving the wagons details on the screen we would have been left with a hefty repair bill :x

Bush Tucker Man:
Two stories from BTM, of differing degrees of honesty.

1. A few years ago, I was doing overtime, 'moonlighting' in the Transport Department.

I got handed the keys to a 7 & 1/2 tonner, got sent to Supplies (at another off-site location)

Came back & had to drop off at an annex building. The (reversed) approach was through 2 opposing right-angle bends - left, then, right.

Got through the first one okay, but then, caught the front bumper of a Astra with the side under-run bars.
I saw it start to lift in the mirror; "Oh b*gger!", I thought

Thankfully on inspection, it had just left a rust-stain on the bumper, not even removing the pattern on the Plastic

I then had to trace the owner. She was fine with it, pleased at my honesty, but showed me the other side from a shopping trip.
It looked like someone had driven into it at speed, as the front wing was hardly in existance.

2. When they're at the 'Posh PortaCabin', SWMBO usually parks the 'works van' on the decking/entrance side of it.
However on one visitation, she had to park on the other side, someone knocked on the door, to tell her an old lady had gone into the Mondeo & driven off.
Witness gave her the registration & the approximate location on site. SWMBO went up to the shop/site-office & asked.
Manager said "Not Again!!!"

Which didn't sound good!!!!

Joanne found the car & her husband apparantly 'T-Cutting' it
Upon being challenged she admitted it, but said she panicked & wanted 'to go home'

She offered to pay cash for the repairs, but Jo refused, as it was a company vehicle
It was later revealed (by someone who knew her) that she had over 10 claims against her for damages of this sort!!!!!!!!

On a similar vein to item 2, this Ross Floyd column makes interesting reading.

I remember reading that when it came out in 'LRM' & wondering if he'd now been removed from the roads?

Mandatory retests every 5 years.  1 year to pass or your license is revoked.  Job done.
