Suspension lift: does anyone else have this problem?

(1/4) > >>

oakeedokee:
I've done a search on here but no-one else seems to mention that when you do a 2" suspension lift in a Rangie, the front propshaft clouts the centre crossmember thereby limiting the amount of downward travel. :?
Or is this because I've got a Borg Warner in an earlier chassis? I remember I had to cut the floor pan about to remove the handbrake drum too when I first bought the vehicle.

thermidorthelobster:
Have you checked your gearbox mounts?

oakeedokee:
gearbox mounts? What should I be looking for? do you think they might have become compressed and the gearbox is sitting too low?

oakeedokee:
could a moderator please move this to the Range Rover section? Ta.

Range Rover Blues:
Mine gets very close buy TBH it's the ARB that's the problem.

Later 3.9s had a tubular crossmember and the TDi had a box crossmeber that sits much further back.  Look out for a 300TDi crossmember
