if you are seriously thinking of a change then ask someone who's got a swb landy if they could take you out sometime.my mate had one and to be honest i could not go any distance in it cos it was such a bumpy /hard ride.only a suggestion don't want to start any arguements about whats good or bad. :)

way2deep:
just to add his did have the old multi-leaf  suspension :)

Dangermouse:
Parabolick's are the answer to that  :)

Topple:
The only mods to it is a snorkle and steering guard.

I've not driven a swb series so can't compare.

Thought about parabolics but never got round to it, agreed the ride is hard compared to coilers.

It's been more reliable than my 90 which is younger by 10 years.

:D Just a thought, for a grand you could get a good Classic Range Rover thats not been messed with, or a cheap Discovery that would need a little work, esspecially v8s no one wants them anymore ( gas guzzlers ). And you could always convert it to run on l.p.g gas.

Or a grand would get you a cracking little suzuki sj, great fun std, just a bit harsh on the road.
Or to stand out from the crowd, stick with the Trooper and doit up a bit.
