Question on Drill press drive belt!

(1/2) > >>

carbore:
Hi,

I have a bench drill press I picked up second hand. Seems the drive belt is worn out so it wont hold any load.

The belt only has R680 on it. Is that likely to be a generic part no?

Its off a Power G 5 speed 13mm drill press (looks cheapo!)

Can anyone recommend any suppliers (I tries google but R680 is a bit vague!)

Thanks

Is it a machine mart special?

680 is its length, R is probably a manufacturers code, take a look at:

Try taking your old belt to your local agricultural merchant.

carbore:
Unsure of its origin, second hand, but looks like all the cheapo ones that machine mart, argos etc sell.

I think taking the belt to my agricultural shop is a good idea, they sorted my ride on mower belt out after a bout of over zelous mowing! (I learned that the hard (expensive) way)!
