That looks good but orange is quite popular now, dont suppose you know the company you got it from do you? was thinkking about matt black but thought it was a bit drabb. I was really thinking abotu a nice blue as it's my favourite colour but not really sure if i could get a good job by painting it. Anyone know abotu coach paint?

Matt Black looks Drab, oooppps Iver got it wrong

There are 5 of us with Matt Black 2 90's with wrag tops 2 90 Truck cabs and 1 disco, all matt black, then we have our personel touches, look mean in convoy Ill tell you.

we use a paint called Hard Hat, just a can spray job, but thats what makes it good, hit those overgrown lanes, loads of scratches, then out with the spray can £6 back as new

My personal choice is white that hasn't been washed for over a year*   but that's unimportant.

What colour do YOU want it to be? It's you that's going to have to live with the choice.

sorry cant remember for sure but think he whent by the name of the paintman, he's there every year someone will no him...

the anchor supplies paint is proper Nato Army paint, ive used it with good results, i just flated off the old paint and slapped it on, its not a very hard finish so does mark easly and may come off with a powerfull jetwasher, but just a quick blast with a roller and its like new again, its good gear..

Just find a paint shop and ask them where they buy their paint from.  Any decent car paint suppliers will supply paint that is suitable for brushing.  I bought 2.5 litres of brushable paint for mine for I think £27.

Its only had one coat (plus another dose of mud lol) and one of these days I will get it sanded and get the next coat sorted.

It will look good in the end!  I did consider the matt black option but decided I wanted a bit of shine....

I like that thats what i was hoping for! Would the satin black from anchor supplies turn out similar? Where is a car paint shop don't know any unless halfrods is classed as one!

'Paintman' is based in Wolverhampton and does virtually all land rover colours.  The paint he mixes is a very fast drying (5 mins) and comes out really well with a roller, with a  little fine flatting back you wouldn't know it wasnt a spray job if you do your prep right.
He does 5 litre tins for £30 or £40 delivered - he's at most of the popular shows.   A bit of a google should get his number up, or if you get stuck Ive got it on a paint tin somewhere.

The question is Sam, WHY?? is the paint nackered, scruffy, rusty etc?? Does it need doing, if its just because you dont like the colour, unless you do a professional job then you will de-value it, simple fact, and if you make a crap job of it you'll kill its value even more.

Just bear that in mind before you whip out the roller...

thats all very true SMO.
but then other questions arise like will you ever think of selling it?
if your anything like me i hope to keep my 90 for the rest of my life. i have had it since i ws 17 and wouldnt dream of selling it. now im getting bored of my greeny colour. so im going to spray it white. do i care if it devalues it? NO. i dont give two poo's about it, because i wont be selling her. and even if i do sell her it wont be for a VERY long time and by then we will be in hovvering thingys and she wont be worth a pint of stella anyway  :P

My thoughts exactly.
Also around these Devon lanes nice shiny professional paintwork scratches just as easy as a DIY job that's good enough    8)

This is probably because you have a - never driven one properly, and b - cant afford one, they are light years ahead of the 200tdi in every situation, there really is no comparison.

D-Lander is coming along well, almost time for an update i guess!

I wouldn't mind a td5 or a new one if someone but me one! And only for road use as they just arent as good as the 200tdi yerrr the paints like really scratcehed and odd colours so was thinking about making it look nice.
yer  i want to keep it for ever but i do alot of traveling with kayaking up to scotland and stuff so was thinking a little car would be cheaper and easier as i cant really afford the fuel. And plus the lovely mother and father said i could use there discovery for off roading but i reckon i shall stick with it and get a job!
Kind Regards
