So how easy is it to.........

Weld?
Borrowed a non-gas mig welder from work - a WolfTurbo Mig 100! had a quick go and managed to get a few good runs.........
Thing is i got a front outrigger to do on my series - do i give it a go?

If you are like me, you won't settle til you've tried it out.

Well had a go at welding the base plate of out rigger to a piece of 1/4 inch scrap and got a good joint. Ground it off and cleaned all the surface up........ think tomorrow may be the day to give it ago!

With a proper welder, you will find it a lot easier.
No gas is really difficult in comparison to using a gas mig
Have a practise and when you think you done a good weld- destroy it  If it wont break its a good one :D

Well have had a look on line today and found a nice Little SIP welder for £150 - borrowed this one and to be honest with the amount im going to do i can't justify buying one.
Had a go like i said at welding the base plat of the out rigger onto some scrap and it wouldnt budge, had to grinde it off and square the base plate up again....... fortunantly the series outriggers come with an oversized base plate!
