any idea where from?
My kenwood has 2 round plugs on the back,1 marked left 1 marked right very similar to the plugs on the back of a dvd player :? Are these the RCA preouts and if so is it as simple as wiring the red to the middle and black to the outer?? if so do i put it into L or R

Sorry if they are daft questions but car stereos are alien to me :-s
Paul

Hope this helps

Does anyone know where they sell a plug that has phono connectors on side and an iso the other. i too have a sony head unit that has phono outputs for a sub at the rear but i don't know how to wire it up or even if it can be done :?:

SWEETY:
To be honest I don't know the set up on disco's as I drive a Terrano:oops: Sorry for swearing on your page  I've built a few large sound systems over the years & have used a convertor when the head unit did'nt have RCA outs. The convertors have a tune screw for each side as different head units put out different power through the RCA's, eg standard headunit may put out 0.05 volts where my JVC one puts out 4volts. If you are fitting an after market amp things become easier as it's just RCA to RCA & then match the out put. Have a try at the places I listed before but if you have no joy i'll see if I can point you in the right direction to a surplier 8)
