How long does your TDi take to heat up?

wrong engine i know but wifeys TD5 takes anything up to 20 miles plus to start warming up properly :roll:

Mine is going up the scale by the time I get to the next village about 3-4 miles away. That is the same time as my Rover 620 petrol Not bad.
This is on 30mph for about a mile then 50-60mph to next village.
If I leave it on idal to warm up before going to work then I may as well not bother as it never heats up!
Towing though. Well, a whole new story. About a mile!!!!

If i select heat on the vent, then the temp scale doesnt move from cold.
If its selected to cold(or fresh air) the truck takes about 30min to get upto 1/4 on the scale.

usually within about 10 minutes to feel warmth and another 10 before i have to turn it down
