VALUATION REQUIRED PLEASE !
« on: January 09, 2005, 21:21:23 »
Hi All.
        A mate of mine has a damaged Discovery for sale,and wants me to give a bid.It is as follows ;

1997  5 door 3.9 auto - 7 seats - half leather - a.b.s. - aircon etc.

ONLY 45000 K.M. showing.

The vehicle has been imported from New Zealand and is R.H.D.

The vehicle has been rolled on it's roof, with the roof panel down about 4 " at the front.
After looking at the car, it would need a shell, 5 doors, bonnet and wings,
basically all the panels.

There does not appear to be any suspension or chassis damage, and it starts and drives.

All the V.I.N. tags are on the car, but it needs registering.
I 'phoned my mate at the dealers and he says the chassis number relates to a '98 vehicle, although the date stamps on the A.B.S. pump and throttle housing say '97.

He has mentioned a figure - but what say you ?

It is also 'not recorded'.

Cheers,

SPIKEY.

£1000 max as an insurance write off.

Might get more on the open market, and if you took the time to get all the bits off it, would probably get a sensible amount for the parts.

£1000 would be assuming that everything else on the vehicle was in mint condition.

Personally I would strip it and sell the parts on eBay.
