New horn
thermidorthelobster:
I think me horn's bust - need to go and poke around at some point but the normal 2-tones have turned into 1-tone and I think it's water ingress.
If it needs replacing, can anybody recommend a decent (ie, meaty) road-legal alternative to the usual Land Rover one?
I'd love to fit a Dixie horn like L90OOK's but I don't think it'd pass the MOT without a "proper" one too 8)

Your right it wont
I have a two tone air horn & the dixie's switchable so both use the normal horn stalk.
My RRC has a really good (loud) horn...maybe one of those is the way to go?
Cheers

That's an excellent idea. Next time we're both driving through a 6km tunnel we could have some fun...

The potential on this thread for double entendres is endless! But I must resist, resist! Aarrrrgggghhhh!
I got a set of twin tone horns from Halfords for about £17. They are not quite as low sounding as I would have liked; the Disco now screeches like a banshee, but they are loud enough and make people jump.
As for getting you horn full of water.....no......stop.........I'm going!

Don't worry, when I do get the horn, I'll let you know 8)
(In the interests of family friendly I'm going no further)
