Galvanised chassis?

Having seen some heavy fabricated steel fabrications distort, during the course of my work in engineering, I've no doubt that a chassis could distort as a result of the hot dip galv process.

Galv is not a permanent fix anyway  . . . . it's known as a sacrifical coating and as such the natue of the plated coating is for it to corrode in preference to the base material upon which it is applied . . . eventualy your back to square one where the steel is again exposed to the elements and once again begins to rot.

Guardian.:
galv can twist structures easy, have known the bulkheads to be totally unuseable after being galved.
get some advice of a galv geezer, they will be able to put you right.
