Galvanised chassis?

North Offroad do a tubular chassis for a discovery but you'll need deep pockets.

If you have or can get hold of a good (one thats worth protecting from  tin worms) standard chassis you can then get them galvanised professionally, but from memory that costs in the region of £600.

SteveGoodz:
Having one galvanised can ~ not will, but can ~ lead to huge distortions in the chassis afterwards which won't be considered to be the galvanisers responsibility. These distortions are due to stresses built up in the chassis rails as a consequence of their fabrication.

Just something to think about  :)
