Figured what my clicking noise was

in middle of swapping cv joints & chrome balls over of a spare axle i have & need to reuse the LHS swivel carrier,
pulled the cv joint out to fint this & also the cage is all chiped where the ball has been getting max load against the cage,

yeh think

pulled the joint apart by removing the balls

the cage was cracked to <edit> & bits floating about

hmmm

started clicking at the tay & have done 5 weeks of road driving & 3 days offroad since

shoulda checked it sooner  :oops:

please remember folks the above breakage occured on 33's with a tuned TDI & a hashy [!Expletive Deleted!] at the wheel  :lol:

thats not a break, a cleanly snapped shaft on the cv is a break
didnt enjoy removing the wheel bearing nuts tho  :cry:
