frontera problems
« on: September 25, 2007, 14:49:25 »
hiya

i bought a fronty with a duff head gasket (so i thought) and it would not run. Changed head gasket (it had gone) it still wont run. Seems to be over fueling cos when fuse for pump is removed she will run (just) as she is sucking her own fuel (she cuts out if reved cos aint got enuff fuel) when running with no fuse if you put fuse in she just dies instanly. i have checked the following:-

spark plugs (new)
Leads (new)
dizzy cap and rotor arm (new)
ecu (second hand)
inlet manifold complete inc injectors fuel pressure reg etc exept throttle body?? (second hand)
crankshaft sensor (new)
fuel relay (tested and swapped with a good one for trial)
temp sender (tested ok)
airflow sensor (tested ok???)
idle controll valve (stripped clean and now working)

still the same fault so im either unlucky and one of the second hand bits was faulty with the same fault or its somthing i aint changed yet

if anybody has any views or ideas i will be be more than willing to try them as i have exausted all mine. i hope somebody can sed some light on to my problems.

thanks
