--- Quote from: "steve10" ---I can recommend 245/75/16 Cooper STT's
they can occasionally catch on the body work but nothing major

Not wishing to hi jack this thread but how long have you had your Cooper STT's for and how are they wearing??I am thinking of getting a set myself but can't decide....
Thanks
Neil.....

Hi Neil
I've not had them long, only about 1,500 miles so no wear yet. I think they are great in the mud and they seem fine on the road although they get a little noisy over 65mph but not too bad.

The standrad arches arn't big enough with standard suspension, evan with lifts disco owners still do camel cuts to fit 32" diameter tyres, so if you going to cut the arches anyway, you could always cut them much more and probably fit extensions which would allow anaconders on standard suspension.

I have at last tonight finished my lift off properly...I've got 265/75/16, (the size you were after) Hankooks on, and they are just about OK with a 2" lift and a very small camel cut. I only needed to take the arches back 1.5" from where they were...I'll blend/paint them in a bit better when I can be bothered but they don't look bad. The tyres do catch a teeny weeny bit when on the bumpstops, but it's actually on a folded seam in the arch rather than the outer bodywork bit. I'm thinking inner wheelarch precision adjustment tool...5lb version...
To answer your questons about freestyles, they have very little offset which helps a lot...unlike my old modulars which were hopeless (and the vehicle feels more planted on-road on the alloys) however the Hankooks do not have very aggressive side cleats which also helps me a bit!
Front ARB yet to get ditched (tomorrow) which should get the front working as hard as the back.
