Faultmate Diagnostics
« on: September 03, 2007, 13:48:34 »
Hi
has anyone got any experience of the newish faultmate system.
I have a 2002 Disco 2 that has been lifted etc and now I want to remove the rear springs and switch off the SLS and play around with some of the standard systems eg locks etc.
As the garage charge £70 an hour on their Autologic I think this might be a cost effective solution.
Rough & ready 2001 Disco 2
4" lift with 235/85/16 Insa turbo
Steel rear bumper, rock sliders. Winch bumper with winch & A bar & lights, Safari snorkel
Steering, front & rear diff guards
Genuine G4 roof rack with warn lights

You mean the new offering from Blackbox ? - I looked at it the other day, does everything, but is somehow 'tied' to a vehicles VIN number - so you couldn't use it on a mates vehicle

I guess they don't want garages etc buying the relatively cheap unit and using it on all their customers cars.
