well as some as you may know  i have a 1992 defender 90 pick up and afte alot of work iv finaly nearly got it to how i want it so far i have done


fitted mods with khumo mts
cb radio
cd player
cubby box
 silicon turbo hoses
wizard breather block and extended brethers
td5 style  head lights
spot lights
td5 head light surounds.

things waiting to be done

 late spec side lights indicators and td5 style side repeters
 nas spec reverse and fog lights
 cobra alarm system

thanks to ian (porny) for his hard work fitting my cam belt and  the work he will be doing this week  fitting the lights etc   and supplying allthe parts etc for me thanks again ian

pretty much any halogen lamps are better than the sealed beams...i use crystal halogen ones with a plain beam pattern, they seem to be excellent for the cost (i paid £25/pair inc bulbs)

as for bodged wiring...my offroader seems to have been wired up to be permanent live for everything (eg the heater and everything works with the ignition off  :shock: )

looking forward to seeing pics matty :)

I changed my SB's to halogen, but I keep knackering them due to the deep water stuff we do, so I have gone back to sealed beams.

But you can get halogen sealed beams now anyway.


drill holes in the bottom...and remember to switch the headlamps off before wading...(i managed to explode the bulbs in both headlamps once by driving into 3ft of water after having had main beam on for a few hours hehe :roll:  )
(i use roof lights for wading at night)

We blew out all both headlamps when there was all that rain not long ago forming BIG fords etc, plus it 11pm!  :shock: Had to drive back home with the Hella's on  :lol:

ok so here is an update

td5 head lights fitted
cobra alarm fitted
front side lights and indicators fitted
new spot lights fitted to a bar and wire up

the pic is an old one before the work was carried out but i want to show my wheels  :wink:  lol will get some up to date pics tomora while out laneing
