Are SWB and LWB rear springs the same length?  I am wondering if a set of parabolics off a 109" will go on my 88".

109's are longer on the rear, and will not fit an 88 without modification to the chassis

It'll do some funny things if you fit them, our swb had 109" springs on it when we bought it, it pushed the body into a proper funny angle. After a year (springs removed soon after bought it) it's sort of settled down. I would say don't do it unless you fancy twisting your chassis or something.

How's your restoration / rebuild coming along Jim-Willy? Not seen your post for a while, I take it you're going to change the springs soon?...

Yes she sits very wonky, the rear offside spring is knackered and to be honest the others aren't great.  I think i'll end up putting Lightweight springs on for cheapness.  Should be MOT'd very soon, nowhere near finished but a rolling project is better than a parked up one :) .

lightweight springs are about 1' higher than series standards, and in some cases have caused problems, but in some cases they havent. so you may need to adjust your props. standard series ones are only 20something pounde each or something like that anyway. if you want to strengthen them, just fit diesel ones (if ur running a petrol engine) as there stronger, i'd change the bushes too
