--- Quote from: "Evilgoat" ---Tesco DC wagons, especially Snodland, Nursling and Wheybridge are mostly driven by non uk persons.

Anyone driving on company business as an employee of a UK company should be required to have the appropriate UK driving licence.
The drivers of foreign lorries making three or more commercial journeys in this country should be required to have the appropriate UK HGV licence.
They should make rail transport compulsory for all middle and long distance freight movement.

I think everyone should be retested at least every 10 years, let alone when they get to 65, by then it's too late.
There are far too many people around who just don't know how to drive.
Personally though I think the middle lane is the least safe place to drive, you have traffic on both sides of you and no-where to swerve in an emergency.
Witht he 'van on I like to be in the N/S lane unless I'm overtaking, being alongside a truck when some nutter in a white van passes you can be a 'bit of a moment' as they always pass too close.
As for trucks driving around like they are glues together I think that's the result of having them all governed, they have no real chance of overtaking other than the painfully slow recreation of snail racing you often get to see when one is brave enough to pull out to pass another.
And yes I think it;s time the loopholes of UK companies registering their truck abroad was closed, along with the drivers. Unfortunatley we are in the EU now.
