Hi every one, i'm posting this for a friend who dose not have the internet.
He is looking at getting a 1961 Series 2 SWB, it was converted from petrol to dirty D  4 years ago. He has been told that it sometimes jumps out of second gear & thourght who better to ask than you guys. Could you tell me what may be the problem. there is all so a second gearbox but don't know what condition it is in  :roll:

just a bit worn,its a LR trait

still usable,its just a case of hang onto the gearstick!!!

Check the linkage and things. Look at something called a detent, don't ask, just something I've remembered from before, not had this problem so don't know how to fix it really...
