No oil Presure Help updated update and aarrrrrrr

Just looking around now but are two dissy a early one and a later one and dont know yet which one i have. One has the slot in the bottom for the oil pump to fit in to (which is the one i have) and one has a blade in the bottom for the oil pump to fit in to.

found so mine is the late type dissy as the oil pump has the blade in it.

well big thanks to steve i have a replacement dissy. went to fit it and had to move the oil pump shaft to line it up with the dissy and guess what the shaft was solid. so undid the bottom of th pump tryed turing the gears and no luck they would not move. took out the gears slid out nice and easy. put them back in and all turned til they got to one point and went solid again check everthing all seamed good til i notice when i had the gears in my hand and turned them that at one point the gears lock together. so looks like the dissy shaft snapped as the gears had stopped in the postion were they lock. And when i started the engine back up to move the disco it snapped the shaft. as the gears had locked. probley a million to one chance of the gears stopping in that one spot. so its new gears time now. :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :roll:

Right this is now offically doing my head in. Had the oil pump apart twice now cleaned it smoothed it check for any ruffness just put it back together gave it a good test spin with the bottom cover off everything turns nice and sweet. put botttom cover on place drill and tool onto the oil pump shaft. to prim it and guess what the %%&)*(*!!!! is solid again in fact in nearly burnt my drill out trying to turn it. all i can think off now is the bottom cover must be worn or something and its just not playing at tall.

Isn't it possible that the base plate has warped? I thought that this was a known problem and I think I bought a new plate when I refurbished my own pump but I can't be ceratin.
