265/70's onto a standard disco?

<< < (3/3)

Steven:
Is there a chance that the wheels rubbing could eventually break the radius arms?

simon15:
wheels rubbing i doubt would cause the arm to break.

but then if they were that bad then would definatly do something about it.

Ok cheers mate, anyone want to add?

clbarclay:
There is nothing to gain from rubbing tyres/radius arms appart from damage to one or the other so just set the stops to suit.

Generally standard LR steels have the same offset as alloys (33mm), apart from some exceptions like the 2b FC rims, the common off set options are either wheel spacers or modular/8 spoke wheels which come in a number of different off sets.

Friend has 265/70r16 recip trails (fitted on 8 spokes with approx 20mm less off set) on his disco 1 evan with 2" suspension lift with extended bumpstops they still required a camel cut fo fit.
