It got automatic freewheeling hubs (thats what it says on em)... what seals etc u mean?

not seals "sills" the metal bit below the door lol :lol: suffer with excessive corrosion and are not as im aware available as a pattern part . the free wheeling hubs may not be working properly ,especially if its never seen mud :lol:

i think fudge had a problem with his drive train when he first bought his, cant remember what exactly but hes the man to ask

Your hubs sound like they arnt engaging, simply strip them down and refit checking all the circlips are in place and the splines are not worn, should be fine then.
Auto hubs do wear out.
