Rubber rear prop shaft coupling ?

<< < (2/2)

street_moto:
Thanks for the input!
Managed to remove bolts at the coupling end and transmission end, but prop will not budge, think the splines may be seized!
If so how do I remove the prop?

Regards Dave

Range Rover Blues:
You've got to take it off the back of the handbrake first as the support spigot goes a long way inside the prop, you'll understand what I mean once you've done the job

street_moto:
Hi, yeah I get what you mean, but prop won't compress enough to allow me to remove it at the handbrake end.

Dave.

street_moto:
Job done!

Removed grease nipple, blowtorch on prop, grease shot out under pressure, prop came out no bother after that!

Regards Dave

Range Rover Blues:
Ah, too much grease at some point in it's life then.
