Went see my mate last night and he's put a 1.9 turbo diesel engine in out of a pugeout. Looks a proper job any body esle done the converion

As long as you can get the right gearbox this is a piece of p*ss(gearbox out of a vitara TD,FSO Caro or a RWD Fiat(?)) .

There are quite a few people on Difflock who have gone down this route.
But most use the vauxhall engine and the gearbox out of a Manta.......

Mine has an Isuzu(vauxhall) 1.7 tdi in it and a Carlton gearbox.
Works Grrrrreat, but needs a LOT more radiator area than standard to keep it cool. A LOT more.
Go on....cut me in half........it says SUZUKI all the way thru the middle!!
