Bad earth?blown relay......?

My first suggestion would be to get a wiring diagram (hate to say it haynes) and just check if the circuits are connected...

If that is blown it might be an idea to have a nose around to find out why before you replace it.....dont want a fire on your hands...

Check your door switches. They fill with much and crud and can cause all manner of issies. Pull the rubber cap off and prise out the switch. Theres a wiring harness down there on the  driver's side.
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

Took mine out, lopped off the corroded crimp, cleaned up the contacts then soldered it all back together afte vacuuming the mud out of there :)

The harness on the driver side is just the lights, speaker and some other single wire, Possibly the feed for the demister which isnt terminated on mine. Passenger side you have the full wiring harness which terminates behind the rear foglight/light cluster in the body. from here it runs to the other side and the other fogligt/cluster. If its got bumper mounted light clusters then two smaller harnesses plug into the main harness behind the fogs and drop out through a square bung into the bumper. You'll probobly find these connectors are corroded to hell. When I did my bumper I had to order replacement connectors from simtec and change both sides :(

A bad earth COULD perceivably cause a fuse to go.
