AFAIK it's got something to do with what happens to scaffolding when you bend it... hence you only see straight poles :roll:

It's because scaffold tube is seamed. It's cheaper to produce that way but if bent the seam can split  :cry:

Can you buy the dies for that thing seperately?, or what are you using for the die on yours?

pipe benders work better if you 'clamp' the tube on both edges of the bend...so i've been told by a bloke who does it for a living.

i'm not a fan of scaffold tube cages hence im getting a proper one made, however as mick points out...it is definately better than nothing!

Thanks to Mike for helping me Dad swap the engine, lift kit etc over.

I like my new toy and cant wait to take it off roading and get it muddy - it's to clean!!
