misfire
peasey:
morning all , so heres todays problem! yesterday i did about an 80 mile round trip with my father in law following me as he didnt know the way.now he drives real slow and obviously i had to adjust my speed to suit, now up to the 50 mile mark the disco behaved realy well with no probs.after that it sarted to run very badly missing on more than one cylininder and coughing and splutering but only while in gear if i slipped her out of drive in to neutral it stopped but as soon as she went in to drive it was there again any ideas?and just to let you all know i replaced the dizzy cap leads and plugs oh and rotor arm 4 thousand miles ago so im scratching my head again
Sheddy:
I bought a rotor arm and cap from Halfrauds that managed to fall apart after 50 miles. Where did yours come from?
peasey:
i buy all my gear from paddocks im just going out to put the old dizzy cap on that i have given a good clean oh and while im there im going to change the plugs
thermidorthelobster:
Rotor arms seem to be very finicky things; even if you get one which looks almost identical to the original you can run into problems. Might not be that but best not to rule it out.
Carbs?
Oz:
Mine has the same prob and its the manual 3.5 ..... do it make a poping/bang noise now and again?
