Depends a lot on what you want to use it for - once in a while pull yourself out of a not too sticky situation and it would probably be ok.

Constant challenge use every other week and  you'll possibly be changing it before the first event is finished.

Be aware that these cheap winches are very expensive for spares, other than that........

that is if you can actualy get parts

these have been debated many of time before on here

they are ok for occasional use, not getting punnished every weekend

if you want something the punnish and i mean punnish, then save up just 200 quid more and get a superwinch epi9, for the money there are an absolutely brilliant winch and will serve you proud for years

Well, i did a bit of a deal with Peter at Firstfouroffroad, in honiton, i got the winch, plasma yellow hook, wrap around bumper, and new steering gaurd for 818, but the winch and bumper had been on his Disco for a year as a demo, but only used in and out with minimal load, it really is as good as new.,......

Hey mikee,  you may find yourself surprised with those Tmax's, weve got a couple of guys using them at Challenge south west events, kitted out with plasma and a albright there real good little winches...

Just watch the freespool leaver as thats their week point, the little bit thats engages/disengages seems to have a habit of snapping when its being used roughly...
be warned the curley haired one is here !
