Disco handgrake adjustment

(1/3) > >>

simon15:
My disco is parked on the drive which is on a slight slope and parked it just now and it started moving forward!!!!

So its now in gear too but is it just a case of adjusting it or will it need replacing??

if parts need replacing how easy are they to fit?

hobbit:
You need a secondary handbrake there, very effective and never fails   :D

There should be an adjusting screw on the back of the drum, but this depends on your disco model. Some have adjusters behind the handbrake unit in the centre console

To access the brake shoes, its a prop off the back of the handbrake drum to access it

Its a fairly basic unit

simon15:
yeah think ill go for the 29p option from B&Q  :D  :D  :D

Will have to have a look as the handbrake does pukll up a bit but not excessively though. so may be the shoes then.

yet another job dont you just love landy's :)
